3 awards at WMF in Hamburg
On May 10, 2017, the Gala of World Media Festival 2017 took place in Hamburg. As was announced, “Diary of a Beholder” received the “Intermedia-globe GOLD” statuette, collected by Jarosław Migoń (scriptwriter, director, producer) and Francisco Bassignana Ravinet (Krakovia Producciones - co-producer). But there was more – the film received awards in two other categories as well: the “Intermedia Special Award - MAGIC EYE” for the best cinematography and the “Intermedia-globe GRAND AWARD”. This is the only documentary that received so many awards and the first Polish and Cracovian film that was so appreciated by the World Media Festival jury.
Two other films also received “Intermedia-globe GOLD” awards: “Body and Blood” by Martyna Wojciechowska and Katarzyna Białek (TVN) and “Cloning. Way to Immortality” by Małgorzata Łupina (TVN). Short film “Demant – World of silence” (Meme Studio) received an “Intermedia-globe GOLD” and a special award. “Intermedia-globe SILVER” awards went to “Delicious Peruvian” documentary by Małgorzata Łupina (TVN), television series “Belle Epoque” and “Letters to M.2”.
Competing movies were submitted by producers from: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, USA, and Vietnam.
